Now it’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of book wall art! Literary wall art and prints to be specific... I love waking up every morning to glorious quotes from the greats. It motivates me to have a beautiful day!

Today I’m here to inspire your inner interior designer. It’s time to arrange your prints to perfection! So switch your printers on and prepare your home for a serious literary makeover.

HOW TO ARRANGE WALL ART

1. Framed or Unframed?

OR both!

Unframed prints give the room a youthful look. Like posters, they are perfect for university accommodation or children's bedrooms. Easily replaceable and removable they give a wall a friendly yet juvenile feel.

Framed prints are in style! They add a personal touch to a simple room in a chic way. By framing your prints you add a touch of care and clarity to your style. They are the perfect way to liven up walls, bookshelves, ledges and desks!

2. The Rule of 3

The world’s most leaked style secret. Some may think three is a crowd - but your walls certainly don't!

Odd numbers give a natural feel to the room and give your prints a modern and artistic touch. The trick is to keep the arrangement of your three prints, symmetrical and similar but not the same.

For example, if you have two quote style prints and one block image, place the block image in the centre. Symmetry is relaxing and easy on the eye! Hang your prints the same way and space them evenly for a simple yet stylish edge.

3. Postcard Wall

I LOVE a postcard wall!

A postcard wall is a great way to display your favourite prints in a fashionable way, without having to choose your favourites. They make beautiful focal points in the bedroom and kitchen.

The secret to a good postcard wall is variety. A combination of portrait and landscape images with a wide range of colour palettes and content. Again, your prints can be framed or unframed. The best thing about postcard walls is that they're easy to rotate! You can get creative and change up the decor depending on your mood and the season.

4. Mix & Match

A mix and match wall looks great in a modern room. If you’re a fan of galleries and take pride in your prints, having a large wall full of your favourites can add an ultra stylish touch to the home.

Different sized prints, spaced evenly across the wall is a great way to showcase your artistic eye. The best way to achieve this look is by keeping everything else super simple. Display your art on a block-coloured wall. The furniture in the room should complement your prints and not draw focus away.

Top tip - A large mix and match wall looks great with a little greenery! Try adding a few plants near the wall or on side tables for a super stylish city look.

5. Bold, Beautiful & Bountiful!

Check out this fun Anne of Green Gables art. A set of bold, framed prints can liven up any room! They also look great in smaller spaces and can add a splash of surprise to the most unsuspecting corners.

Matching prints that tell a story are a wonderful addition to the home. They add personality to your walls whilst fitting into your colour scheme and layout.

6. Above Furniture

Prime location!

Above the sofa, cabinet or bed are all perfect places to hang your wall prints - particularly ones you’re proud of. Large objects naturally draw the eye and wall art is a great way to frame your furniture.

We recommend using colours that contrast with your furniture or opting for a minimalist/black and white approach. This will accentuate the main areas of your home.

7. Let It Stand

Let’s not forget the coffee tables!

Small tables or stand-alone furniture are great places to stand your framed prints. They add little pockets of fresh air to corners and liven the home.

This approach is PERFECT if you’re living in rented accommodation. Don’t let landlord rules stop you from adding a personal touch to your space. Pops of colour and motivational quotes can help your house feel like a home.

8. The Cork / Grid / Memo Board

A cork, grid or memo board is a great place to pin/clip memories, reminders, messages and your prints! A well-loved and useful addition to the family home - a corkboard is both useful and fun!

By decorating your board with pretty prints you will be super proud of your little organisation hub.

9. Staggering Display

Shelves aren't JUST for books...

Staggering your prints between books, plants and other items is a great way to add a burst of colour to your shelves. We love lining our bookshelves with matching prints! They are the perfect reminder of all the fun that lies between the pages.

10. The Centrepiece!

A classic and contemporary look.

Who doesn’t love a huge print?!

If you have a favourite print that simply tops them all, why not make it a focal point? A simple approach that is eye-catching and chic.
